RCIA (Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults) Program

·
Thinking of Knowing and Following Jesus?
· Thinking of joining the Catholic Church?
· Thinking of learning more about the Catholic Church?
· Perhaps you’ve been thinking of becoming a member of All Saints Parish Albany Creek?.
· Perhaps you are just curious about what Catholics believe.

We invite all those who had never been baptized, or who had been baptized in another tradition, or who had been baptized Catholic but not received the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist, to “join the RCIA.”

· Where to start?
· Well, you just begin from where you are now!

The RCIA takes place within the context of the parish community, and after a suitable period of formation, culminates in the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation -Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation - on Easter Vigil.

If you or someone you know is interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church, please contact Albany Creek Parish albanyck@bne.catholic.net.au for more details.

LATEST UPDATE
AUGUST 28
WEEKLY COVID UPDATE: From 22 August 2020, under the Queensland Government Movement and Gathering Direction (No. 3), gatherings held in residences or public places are restricted to a maximum of 10 people (for gatherings taking place in a restricted area), or a maximum of 30 people (for gatherings taking place in a non-restricted area). These restrictions apply to church gatherings or activities held off church premises, for example, Family Group meetings in homes or church social activities or events held in parks or other public places. These restrictions do not apply to our worship as we are operating under the COVID Safe Industry Plan for Places of Worship.

I sincerely want to acknowledge our parish staff, sacramental and youth ministry coordinators, musicians and all our volunteers for working hard to implement the Industry Plan to protect our parishioners, ourselves and our community. Let us thank God that our worship and mission can continue in these uncertain days.

‘Meetings should be conducted by phone or skype wherever possible, and where held in person, need to be conducted in line with the 4 square metre rule and social distancing of 1.5 metres throughout.’

Please note the above line in the Archbishops message. When considering having a meeting in the PC please be advised that presently we don’t have a PC cleaner and Sue and I will have to disinfect the tables and chairs ourselves as well clean the PC until we can organise a contractor cleaner.
